Traveling with son, his wife and grandsons. Hubby and I have a reservation to take grandsons to dinner during their parents' date night. I can't make a reservation for son and wife because it shows theirs overlaps with ours, canceling it. Help!

Welcome back to planDisney, Jacqueline! I'm so excited you have another Walt Disney World Resort visit on the books, and this sounds like a multi-generational extravaganza! Let's talk about how to make those dining reservations for more than one group in your party.

Since a single guest can only hold one advanced dining reservation during the same meal period, the easiest way to book the second one is to have your son or daughter-in-law make their own. It sounds like you might be the designated planner (boy-oh-boy, I understand that role!), but maybe you can walk them through the booking process the next time you're together.

Another option is to have your husband make the second reservation, but you'd have to remove him from yours. As long as someone listed on the reservation arrives at check-in, you should be fine, so it doesn't matter if the exact party names match. Technically, the lead guest is the only name needed on dining reservations.

If your son is looking for a romantic spot to dine, I suggest heading to EPCOT. My husband and I enjoy Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya at the Japan Pavilion because of the fabulous view and ambiance. I recommend the Spicy Tuna Roll if you like a little kick. We booked dinner around 8:00 PM last month and watched Luminous The Symphony of Us from our table; it was so romantic!

Jacqueline, I hope your family makes many magical memories on your trip this summer. Please stop by planDisney anytime!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
