Hi Jessica,
Greetings from a fellow Hoosier! I'm so excited for your upcoming vacation with your
preschoolers! They're at such a fun age and are going to absolutely LOVE visiting the Walt Disney World Resort!
I'm a mom to five kiddos and have been bringing each of them to the Walt Disney World Resort since they were babies. I've used many types of strollers throughout the years and would be happy to share my experiences. We've always found that traditional strollers (even double ones) are a bit easier to navigate than umbrella strollers. There's more room to store your things in them and they're more comfortable for the kiddos. My husband and I have found them to be easier to push around, too, as we've found that the handles on most umbrella strollers are too low to comfortably push all day long. In my opinion, it's easier to just have one stroller to navigate through the crowds than two, although there have been years where we've had two strollers because we had so many little kids, so it can be done! Also, when riding the bus, all strollers need to be folded up, so my husband and I usually have one person take the kiddos and the other one handle the stroller. With all that said, we
have done umbrella strollers only, so if you have some you really like, definitely feel free to try that too.
Perhaps the most important question to ask is in which type of stroller will your Mouseketeers nap best? My kiddos loved their strollers too and were perfectly content to take naps in them during the afternoon. If you think your kiddos will nap in their strollers, that's a great time for you to take advantage of
Rider Switch and enjoy some more thrilling attractions!
Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jessica, and have a truly magical vacation!
Missy
