Welcome aboard, David! I see that you're setting sail in April. That is so soon! You didn't mention which ship you'll be enjoying, but either way, there are so many exciting options for "extras" that you can book ahead of time, and many more that don't require advanced reservations once onboard.
Be sure to log into your reservation as soon as possible to begin online check-in. It is there, under
My Cruise Activities that you can book any extras that are available on your sailing, like the Princess Gathering, Port Adventures, and other special events that differ based on which ship and itinerary you'll be on.
My daughter practically grew up on Disney's ships and always loved attending the Princess Gathering onboard each of our cruises. Four or five of Disney's princesses gather in the atrium and young guests get to meet individually with each one for photos and autographs. If you're able to snag tickets for this, you will have a set time to arrive to meet, so no long line! Now, if those tickets are already sold out, no worries! You'll be able to meet with so many different characters throughout the whole sailing. Just check your Personal Navigator or the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App which includes the schedule of when and where each of your favorite Disney friends will be out to meet with guests. My son's favorite
Character Greeting is always meeting with Captain Jack Sparrow on Pirate Night! No reservations necessary, but do plan to show up within the time listed on the schedule, and if you arrive early, you can be at the front of the line so you don't have as long to wait.
So, head right to your online check-in now, David, and get started! If any favorites are already full, check at Guest Services once onboard about any cancelations.
Happy planning!
Marcy
