Hi Michael! Thanks for bringing your question about little ones to planDisney!
Some people think that waiting until their child is older will make their
first experience at Walt Disney World Resort more memorable, but I'm not one of those people! All three of my children have experienced the wonder of the Resort long before their third birthday, and I can't imagine it any other way. I've said it before and I'll say it again, even if they don't remember it, YOU will!
Did you know there are over
80 attractions and shows to delight Walt Disney World Resort's youngest visitors? Beyond these attractions, character experiences,
dining and specially themed pools will keep your little one happy and fulfilled throughout your stay. The best part? All children under the age of three are free with an adult who has a valid admission ticket to the parks!
When it comes time to dine, you'll be happy to know that children under the age of three also eat free at buffet and family-style restaurants. For example, if you make a dining reservation at
Chef Mickey's or
The Crystal Palace, you're able to make the child their own plate of whatever they choose from the buffet or the platters that are brought to your table. If you're at a location where you order a plated meal off of a menu, children are able to eat off of your plate for free. Of course, if you would like to get them their own meal, you're certainly able to, but there will be a traditional charge for it.
Your little one is sure to have a grand time running around Walt Disney World Resort, especially after they've filled up on some delicious food, but with all that excitement comes quite a bit of exhaustion! To me, having a stroller is a MUST because I know my little ones need plenty of time to recoup for their next adventure.
Renting a stroller is easy and convenient, and double strollers are available. Prices vary depending on whether you choose to purchase daily or for your length of stay. While strollers cannot be removed from the theme parks, if you plan to rent one in the morning and then take some time to rest at your resort in the afternoon you can always show your receipt from the morning when you return to the park and pick up another stroller for free.
Michael, I hope you and your little one have a magical time visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth. Please visit us again at planDisney if you have any other questions!
