It’s great to see you again, Carrie! We're elated when you stop by planDisney with a question for us!
How exciting that you’ll be heading to The Most Magical Place on Earth with a fun-filled group! I absolutely love it when my extended family visits Walt Disney World Resort with us; you’re going to have such a magical time!
Carrie, you’ve come to the right place as I base my entire trip around all the delectable delights I’m going to devour! I recommend splitting your group of 10 into two smaller groups of 5. To do this, you will want to be sure you’re all connected on your My Disney Experience
Family & Friends list. In addition, you will want to assign two people as the reservation finders, where you will have to use your own
My Disney Experience account to make one of the reservations for a party of 5, and another person in your party will want to make a reservation for the other group of 5.
When my family of 8 visits together and do this, we’re able to find reservations somewhat close to each other, no more than 20 minutes apart. After making the reservations, I
like to call Disney Dining at (407) 939-3463 to speak to a friendly Cast Member and let them know our parties are together. I ask them to add a note to the restaurants that, if possible, we would love to be seated together. Before our reservation, I arrive a bit earlier at the restaurant and let the Cast Member host/hostess know about our situation. Of course, this is completely at the restaurant's discretion, but thankfully, most of the dining locations could accommodate us. Sometimes we were asked if we minded waiting a few extra minutes, which was absolutely fine with us!
If you can’t find your reservation right away, don’t be discouraged. People often end up modifying or canceling their plans, and you may find availability closer to your trip. I would recommend frequently checking if you can!
We can’t wait to welcome you to the magic, Carrie. Have an enchanting time with your
Mouseke-squad!
