Hi, I am traveling on the Panama Canal Cruise with my 5 children ages 14 to 4 . My 4 y.o. Daughter has special needs, including developmental delays in speech and other areas. Do you have any advice regarding how to make things go smoothly? Thanks!

    Ahoy Heidi!
Welcome to the Moms Panel!  I'm definitely envious of your upcoming Panama Canal sailing! I know your family will have an amazing time cruising the high seas with Captain Mickey, his First Mate Minnie, and the rest of their seafaring crew!
The youth programming onboard Disney Cruise Line is the best I've seen at sea so your children are in for a lot of fun and excitement on your cruise vacation.  My advice for your four year old is to stop by the Oceaneer Club and Lab on the first afternoon of your sailing to speak with the youth counselors about her particular situation.  They will do their best to accommodate her so she is able to participate in activities just like her siblings.  They deal with children with special needs on a weekly basis so they will help make things go as smooth and seamlessly when she is checked in.
I hope you have the most magical time on your Disney Cruise, Heidi!  Please let me know if I can assist you further!
