Hello, We are traveling in October with our children and grandchildren. I am wondering when I should begin purchasing park tickets and setting the reservation time? We are interested in going to Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. Staying off-site

    Welcome to planDisney, Jerilyn!

Oh, I am so happy to hear that you are coming down for a special trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth with your children and grandchildren. How lucky they are to have you!

My advice to you would be to go ahead and purchase your theme park tickets and make your Disney Park Pass system reservations as soon as possible.

October is going to be such a fun time to visit because October 1st is the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort! While you will be able to enjoy the festivities, it also means that Disney Park Pass system reservations will book up a little sooner than normal. If you want to be sure that you will be able to make your reservations before you purchase your tickets, you can check the Availability Calendar.

Jerilyn, I just know that you will have the most fabulous time during your trip. Please come back here if we can help as you plan your special family vacation.

    See you real soon!
