We are traveling with our 6 month old and I am wondering, should I bring a weeks worth of jarred food or is there a place to buy food for her?

    Ami,

We've traveled with infants many times.  I know it's a hassle, but I do recommend bringing baby food with you if you are staying on-property.  Yes, there are a few places where you can pick up a jar, but it is expensive and there is not a variety of foods to choose from.  It's meant to be more of a supplement rather than a complete grocery trip.  However, if you are driving, hiring a towncar from the airport, or renting your own vehicle, then you could go to a grocery store off-property.

If you bring it with you, I recommend buying the food in plastic containers rather than glass.  It's more likely to survive the rough handling in the airport this way.  I also pack our food inside large ziploc bags, so that just in case one breaks it won't be all over our clothes.  Please note also that this must be packed in your checked baggage, as a week's supply of baby food will not clear security for carry-on.

    Enjoy your trip!
