I will be traveling to MK and AK this June with my 3yr old son. He has a Sensory Intgration Disoder and does better by being PREPARED. Any ideas on where to find kid friendly books to help him understand what we will be doing? ~Melanie, OH

    Hi Melanie,

As a mom with a child who likes her structure, I am right there with you. I personally do not know of any books beside the guide books but they do have maps. You can find them in your library or local bookstore. The Birnbaum's Walt Disney World for Kids, by Kids 2008 is a simple book for your son to look at. It is thinner than the other guides, and he can put it in his backpack.

Also, does he like the computer? I would show him the Disney website. Here he can see the resort you are staying at and tour the parks.

If you have time, you can order the Disney Planning video. This will help him see the parks and it will give him comfort as well.

Finally, you may want to call Disney and see if they can send you park maps and resort information. I would try the resort you are staying with first. Just explain what you need and they should send it to you.

    Have a great trip!
