We're traveling in March 2012 for our children's (5 & 2) first time to WDW. Which resort would you recommend out of the Contemporary, Polynesian or Grand Floridian?

Hi Kristen! How exciting to be planning your children's first trip to Walt Disney World! You really can't go wrong with any of those resorts -- the Contemporary, Polynesian, and Grand Floridian are all fantastic! All of them are luxurious with big rooms and have a prime location on the Magic Kingdom monorail route.

The rooms at the Contemporary are super-modern, and it's so cool that the monorail goes right through your hotel. The resort has lots of great restaurants onsite, including the popular Chef Mickey's character buffet and the upscale California Grill. Even the Quick-Service Contempo Cafe has great food!

The Polynesian has an enchanting tropical theme and kids love the slide at the Volcano pool. Great restaurants like Kona Cafe and 'Ohana are onsite here, and you have the convenience of being able to walk to the Transportation and Ticket Center to catch the monorail to Epcot in addition to catching the Magic Kingdom monorail at the resort.

The Grand Floridian is the ultimate in luxury at Disney, and for this reason, it's my favorite resort. I love the bright cheery theme, the large rooms that have mom-friendly features such as a hamper for dirty clothes, and the fact that an orchestra plays in the lobby in the evenings. Even though the resort is plush and fancy, it's also kid-friendly, and it's just one monorail stop away from the Magic Kingdom.

All three of these resorts have rooms with wonderful views of the Magic Kingdom and the nightly Electrical Water Pageant, and fun activities such as movies on the beach and games at the pool. Pick the one whose theme most appeals to your family -- you'll have a wonderful time at any of them!
