I am traveling with a manual wheelchair with a tray. Is it allowed in disney

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Sharon!

I’m absolutely delighted to welcome you to planDisney, and I'm so glad you stopped by with your question. Planning a Walt Disney World vacation is such an exciting part of the adventure, and there's something special about imagining all the magical moments ahead. Dreaming about everything you'll see and do is all part of the fun!

You should generally be able to bring an attachable wheelchair tray into the theme parks, provided it complies with the Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules and does not exceed the maximum dimensions of 36 inches (92 cm) wide by 52 inches (132 cm) long. As with any item brought into the parks, it will also need to pass through the security screening process upon entry.

One of the things I appreciate most about Walt Disney World is how thoughtfully it accommodates Guests with mobility disabilities. Throughout the resort, you'll find wide, paved pathways, accessible restrooms, and transportation options designed to make getting around as smooth as possible. Disney also offers a variety of attraction accommodations, and on select attractions, you can even remain in your wheelchair throughout the experience if that is your preference. From the parks and resorts to transportation and entertainment, accessibility is considered in so many aspects of the Guest experience, helping everyone enjoy the magic more comfortably and confidently.

Another great resource is available right in the My Disney Experience app. From the home screen, tap the three-line menu icon in the bottom-right corner, then scroll down to Accessibility and Health Services. From there, select Services for Guests with Mobility Disabilities. You'll find a wealth of helpful information about accessibility throughout Walt Disney World, making it a convenient reference to have at your fingertips while you're exploring the parks.

Sharon, I hope this helps as you continue planning your trip. If you have any additional questions, you're always welcome as can be here at planDisney!

    Magic Awaits,
