Hi Elizabeth!
Avatar Flight of Passage is my absolute favorite ride, but I can see how you may have some concerns with how others may respond to it! I would describe Avatar Flight of Passage as a much more thrilling
Soarin'. The rides are very similar in that they are both immersive adventures where you are flying across new lands with the wind in your face and the gorgeous scenery all around you, however, Avatar Flight of Passage is 3D, has a much quicker pace to the flight, and has more steep drops that, for me, definitely caused some happy screams.
The actual motion of the ride is not very drastic, but the overall effect feels like you are moving much more than you actually are. The seats are similar to a motorcycle, and they move and breathe as if they were real, living banshees. Each seat is separate, but there are multiple seats in each room, so you are not much more than an arm's length away from the person next to you. There is a test seat outside of the ride entrance if sitting in this type of position is a concern. The other thing to note about the seat is that once you are seated, restraints come down to lock your legs and torso into place. They gently lay against the back of your legs and your back, but they do keep you snugly in place.
If Avatar Flight of Passage doesn't seem like a good fit for you, there is still plenty to do in
Pandora - The World of Avatar! You can eat some amazingly scrumptious food at Satu'li Canteen or even journey through a bioluminescent rainforest on Na'vi River Journey!
Have a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow!
