When traveling from hotel to parks or Downtown Disney - what is the general rule of thumb in the amount of time you should allow for travel - especially when going for a meal reservation? Going first week of Dec. Thank you

    Hi Julie,

I normally allow myself an hour to travel anywhere around Disney property, more if I need to go from resort to resort. There is a great tool called the Transport Wizard which can be found at the bottom of the website www.ourlaughingplace.com Here you can choose your starting and finishing points and it calculates the best way to get there and the approximate time. Most journeys are under 20 minutes but you also need to allow lots of time to actually wait for the transport to arrive.

When planning your travel to the parks please also allow time to go through bag check and the turnstiles. If you're going to dining reservations be sure to also allow plenty of time to walk to the restaurant from the front of the park, this especially applies to restaurants around the World Showcase in Epcot.

I hope that helps and you have a fantastic trip,

    Jo
