I am traveling with a group next week, and just found out my goddaughter will be joining us. I want to bring her to the parks we already have scheduled udled but I see MK is sold out all week. Is there any way to add a child or is she too late to join in

    Hello Jamie,

Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney. I'm excited to hear that your trip is just one great big, beautiful tomorrow away! I'm hoping you've already resolved your ticket dilemma, but if not, I'm happy to offer some suggestions.

As you've seen, you'll need to select your date and the park you plan to visit when purchasing a 1-day standard theme park ticket. Pricing will vary based on the selected park and the time of year. In most cases, you'll also be able to select 1 Park Per Day or add the Park Hopper Option to your purchase which would allow you to visit multiple parks on the same day (subject to availability/capacity).

I took a quick look at the upcoming calendar and saw that Magic Kingdom Park is listed as unavailable for a 1-day ticket with a December 26, 27, 28, 30, or 31 arrival. Normally, I would suggest purchasing a 1-day ticket for a different park and upgrading to the Park Hopper Option. This way you could visit the selected park first before hopping over to Magic Kingdom Park. Unfortunately, the Park Hopper Option is also unavailable for 1-day tickets on these particular dates.

But there may be a bit of pixie dust floating around as, at the time of my writing, 1-day tickets to Magic Kingdom Park (with or without the Park Hopper Option) are available for purchase on Sunday, December 29. If the timing works with the rest of your group's existing plans, I'd recommend buying her ticket as soon as possible.

If you'll be visiting for more than a single day you also have the option to purchase a multi-day ticket. These date-specific tickets will not require you to select a starting park or make theme park reservations and will allow multiple visits within a designated time frame for a potentially lower price per day. While I can't guarantee there won't be any capacity-related closures during this next busy week, you can try to purchase a 2-day ticket (or longer) and select December 27 or December 28 as your start date. December 29-31 are currently unavailable to select as start dates for 2-day tickets but can be selected for tickets of 3 days or longer, at this time.

I'm not sure how long your upcoming visit will be but I'm hopeful you'll find a way to include your goddaughter in your existing plans. If you need further assistance feel free to reach out to a Cast Member with the Ticketing Team by phone. They'll be happy to detail any additional restrictions on tickets that may be in place this week, or assist you in making the purchase and making sure your goddaughter is connected via your Family & Friends list.

Jamie, please come back and see us with more questions. We're always here to lend a helping hand or a listening ear.

Wishing you a magical and merry vacation!
