Mark from PA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I will be traveling with a group of 12 and we will have to link reservations. For booking lightning lanes, I plan on being the one to handle it. How will payment work? Can I book for all 12 and pay for all 12? Or will they have to book and pay on their own

    Howdy Mark!

Welcome back to planDisney. It’s awesome when friends and family get to visit The Most Magical Place on Earth together. Of course, that means someone has to be the keeper of all things Lightning Lane Multi / Single Pass, and I’m happy to hear that it’s you. Let’s see about getting you prepped and ready to score all of your favorites.

Alrighty, so yes, you will absolutely want to make sure that everyone in your group is connected to your Family & Friends List. You can do this via the Walt Disney World website or the My Disney Experience app. From the home screen, tap the 3 bars (≡) in the bottom-right corner, scroll down, and tap Profile. Tap Family & Friends List, scroll to the bottom, then tap Add a Guest to walk through adding everyone. If you are staying at a Disney Resort Collection Hotel or other Select Hotel, you may begin booking your Lightning Lanes at 7 AM EST 7 days prior to your arrival for up to 10 days of your visit. If you are not staying at one of these resorts, then your booking window opens up 3 days prior to the first day of your visit. What you will want to do is open your My Disney Experience app and tap the Purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass button. You can also choose any Single Pass experiences as well. From here, you will want to choose the date that you will be visiting and park. Next, you will add everyone in your party and choose 3 experiences to start with. Finally, you will pay for everyone in your group at the end.

While y’all are there, I highly recommend hopping to EPCOT for the International Flower & Garden Festival.  This festival is really special because all of Epcot is decorated with the most amazing gardens and character topiaries.  Our family loves to stroll through the park and take pictures with all of the characters.  There are also lots of festival-exclusive dining options at the kiosks that I know you will love. You can also do a fun scavenger hunt, following Spike the Bee on his pollination trail. Spikes Pollen-Nation Exploration will be sure to keep the whole family busy as a bee. As a matter of fact, my friends Leandra and Michelle made a great video about it that I’m going to add for you to view.

Mark, I hope this helps and that you have a magical vacation at the Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts. If you have any further questions, please stop back by, and one of my fellow panelists or I will be happy to assist.

    See ya real soon,
    Robert
