Great question! My answer? It depends. Not exactly what you were looking for, huh?
I think that the best resort for you will depend on your answer to two questions.
- In which park do you intend to spend the majority of your time?
- Will you have park hopper tickets?
If you want to spend the majority of your days in the Magic Kingdom, then the Bay Lake Tower villas would be your best bet. They are but a short walk away from the Magic Kingdom, and only a slightly longer monorail ride away from Epcot. If most of your days will be spent in the Animal Kingdom, then the Animal Kingdom villas are calling your name.
If you'll have park hopper tickets, however, my answer would change. In that case I would recommend the Beach Club villas or Boardwalk villas. My family loves to stay there because we feel connected to three parks. There is a 'back entrance' to Epcot through the International Gateway in World Showcase which is but a 5 minute walk from the Beach Club villas. A longer, 15 minute walk (or a short boat ride) will get you into Hollywood Studios. And if you have a park hopper ticket, you can even walk through Epcot to reach the monorail station for a ride over to the Magic Kingdom! (Animal Kingdom park is only accessible by bus, no matter where you stay) Because of this, I feel the Beach Club is one of the most convenient resort locations in Disney.
Hope that helps!
