We will be traveling with our grandson who will be 4, what paper work do we need when traveling with a minor that is not our child?

    Ahoy, Judith!

How fun for you and your grandson that you are taking him on a Disney Cruise!  When traveling with a child who is not your own, it is required by Disney Cruise Line that you have a Minor Authorization Form completed. This form simply states that your grandson's parents are aware that you are taking him on a vacation and that they approve. It will need to be filled out by his parents prior to your leaving with your grandson.

You will also need your grandson's passport or official birth certificate, as well as your own. I also recommend having his parent's medical insurance information and all doctor's phone numbers in case of emergency. A list of allergies and medications that he is taking, along with those medications in their original containers is something to keep in your carry-on.

In this case, it is always better to be safe than sorry. So, over-planning in this situation can ease your mind once you arrive for your magical vacation.

I hope this helps with planning for your voyage on Disney Cruise Line! Please let us know if you have other questions before your travel.

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.

Walt Disney World was my very first vacation, when I was just 3 months old, and I recently completed my 73rd trip to a Disney location! I have been fortune enough to parasail high above the Disney Fantasy, attend opening day of Batuu, snorkel in the lagoon at Disney's Aulani, and SO MUCH MORE! I can't wait to help you plan your Disney vacation!
