Traveling 8/11. 2 ?: Want to go to one water park. Which is better for one adult and two girls- 13 &5? Also, just want to purchase base tickets and not water parks and more tickets. Can I purchase the tickets to water park before leaving home?

    Hi Colleen,

I think Blizzard Beach would be the best bet for your family. This water park has more family rides so you can enjoy the park together than Typhoon Lagoon.

In addition, the main wave pool is milder than the one at Typhoon Lagoon as well. The wave pool at Typhoon Lagoon teaches surfing lessons in the morning and it gets quite rough even for an experienced swimmer. Though my family loves this attraction as well as Crush n' Gush water roller coasters. We did not go to this park until my girls were 11 and 13.

At Blizzard Beach there is Teamboat Springs a wonderful family ride, Ski Patrol Training Camp which has floating glaciers and Runoff Rapids. All of these rides are suited for big and little kids a like.

I hope you have a magical vacation!
