Hello there, Abby!
Thank you for bringing your
Disneyland Resort question to
planDisney. I’m thrilled to hear you want to plan a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth with your family!
As you may already know, the
Disability Access Service (DAS) program is available to Guests who aren’t able to wait for
attractions in a traditional standby queue due to a developmental disability like autism or a similar disorder. If approved, this program allows the individual who requires DAS and their party to receive a return time for attractions based on the current wait time.
The best way to inquire is to have a pre-registration video chat before your vacation begins via the link on the
DAS registration page. You may do this as soon as 30 days prior to your visit. Before you start the live chat process, make sure that a
theme park ticket for everyone in your group is linked to your MyDisney account and that you all have a
theme park reservation for the days you plan to visit the parks.
The maximum party size for DAS is the registered Guest plus up to three additional party members, but exceptions can be made for immediate family. Cast Members work with Guests on a case-by-case basis to determine the available options to best suit their needs, so you can ask any questions you have about your party size during the video chat. If you prefer to register on site, you can instead plan to speak with a Cast Member in person to determine your child's eligibility at an Accessibility Services window after you arrive at the resort.
I hope this information helps you enjoy a magical and memorable family vacation, Abby! Please feel free to write back with more questions as your planning continues.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
