Hi Catherine,
How fun that you're planning a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation for your family and some dear friends! Your whole crew of Mouseketeers is going to have a BLAST together and make memories you'll all cherish for years to come!
So are you wanting both families to share one unit? If so, my first thought was that a Treehouse Villa at
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa would be perfect! My husband and I stayed there along with our five kiddos and my parents, and it was incredible. You'll find three bedrooms - two with queen beds and one with twin bunk beds, plus a twin-size sleeper chair and a queen-size sleeper couch in the living room. That would allow each couple to have their own bedroom, plus two separate sleeping spaces for your teenagers. You'll also find two bathrooms, a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, plus an outdoor patio with a table and chairs. Of course, any
three-bedroom Deluxe Villa would have a similar setup, but the Treehouse Villas are so unique, and I think you'd really love them!
If you don't need to share one unit, you could look at booking two
one-bedroom Deluxe Villas, two Family Suites at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort, or two
Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, which all offer at least two separate sleeping areas for your family to spread out a bit. While I can't guarantee your accommodations would be near each other, you could let a Cast Member know you're traveling together and would like to be as close as possible.
Thanks so much for visiting us at planDisney, Catherine, and please come see us again with any other questions you may have as you're planning your trip.
Wherever you decide to stay, I hope you all have a truly magical vacation together!
Missy
