We are traveling with my extended family on one reservation at WDW. Each family wants to pay for our incidentals separately. Can you link different credit cards to different Magic Bands (i.e. can my band link to one card and my mom's link to another?)

    Hi Emily,

All the guests in a room must be linked to the same MagicBand payment method. If you and your mom are staying in different rooms, then you could have your bands linked to different credit/debit cards. This will not be possible if you're staying in the same room.

I've traveled to WDW with friends in the situation you describe. The easiest thing to do is simply to not use your MagicBand for merchandise/food payment. There is no requirement that you activate charging privileges on your band. You can still pay with cash, credit cards, debit cards, or Disney Gift Cards at nearly all food and merchandise locations. If you and your mom pay for your items separately, then there will be no confusion when trying to work out the hotel bill at the end.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
