Hi moms! Traveling to DW 8/29-9/2/2011 with my dd 5 i would love to return for the Christmas holidays for a day or 2 when is the Christmas decoration put up and when do they take it down in 2011? My dd bdayb is 12/27, hope we can spend her bday there. Thx!

    Hi Yolanda!

I love that you are already planning another trip in 2011! You sound just like me - I love planning as many trips as I can convince the family to take!

While dates for Christmas parties and decorations have not yet been announced for 2011, in general, the Christmas parties and Magic Kingdom decorations start during early November. Other parts of Walt Disney World continue to be decorated throughout November and the entire resort has almost always completed decking the halls by Thanksgiving.

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party will run through mid-December and the resort will be in full holiday celebration up through New Years. Typically, once New Years has passed, the decorations and activities will begin to come down.

Hope this helps! Have fun planning your daughter's birthday trip and be sure to let the Moms Panel know if we can help you plan any more details!
