traveling ds3&5. Mostly going to MK. Value resorts more our budget. Told that 2 trips up & back can mean hours of travel. could work contemporary if location is worth it. 2 trips a day because of kids naps. Extra 200$ worth saving hours of travel w

Hi Jasmine - great question.  Off the bat I would say if you know your kids are going to require naps and you can swing the extra money - make your reservation for the Contemporary.  There is no doubt it is the most convenient to MK.  You can ride the Monorail to the MK or you can even walk to the park.  But if you find yourself on a tight budget, then the value resorts will still work for your and your sons.  Travel time to the park is approximately 20 to 30 minutes, including the time you wait for the bus at the bus stop.  However, sometimes it may only be a 15 minute trip, it just depends on timing.  The only other time you may experience a longer wait for the buses would be if you are leaving a park at closing time.  Then yes, you may very well wait longer than 20 minutes for a bus.  I hope this helps and that you have a magical vacation at WDW.
