Welcome aboard, Jennifer!
Disney Cruise Line offers
something for everyone from the tiniest little sailors all the way up to their great grandparents! From
Port Adventures to
onboard activities, there is always excitement and magic going on! I can't wait for you and your group to experience all that's offered and included on your
Disney Dream cruise!
Guests do not need to book Port Adventures during visits to the ports of call. I'd highly recommend them if you are looking to get off the ship and see the sights of the islands, because Disney does them up right! But, guests are also welcome to disembark the ship and wander the port area on their own, or even venture further from port by taking transportation to another area to explore. It's totally up to you! Come and go as you please throughout the day at any time, as there are no set times to come and go, as long as you're back by the all aboard time at the latest.
There are times when my family and I have decided to simply stay onboard the ship, particularly in a port we've already visited a few times. That's a great time to relax on a less crowded pool deck and ride the
AquaDuck water coaster over and over with little wait time. My kids adore doing that! So, yes, Jennifer, you are more than welcome to stay onboard while in port. There won't be nearly as many onboard activities taking place during the time in port as when at sea, but there will still be some events going on. Check your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App to find out the activity schedule for that day!
I hope that helps as you plan for this exciting adventure at sea with Captain Mickey and his crew!
