    Traveling down after X-mas to celebrate my daughter's 5th B-day. Have table service res, at Cinderella's Table on Jan 1, and a few others. We are not staying in a Disney World Resort. What else can I do to make sure my daughter has a great B-day at WDW?

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.   Celebrating a birthday at Walt Disney World is truly magical.  Disney does a great job of making a special day unforgettable.   You are off to a great start by reserving Disney Dining reservations, I would love to add a few more suggestions to make your little ones big day extra special.

    Simone, please be sure to pick up a "Happy Birthday" button at any Guest service location on Disney property.  This button is sure to get your daughter many smiles, well wishes, and possibly a few pixie-dusted surprises during your visit.    Be sure to note on any dining reservations that you are celebrating a birthday.   During past trips my daughter was given a special birthday cupcake when we dined at one of her favorite spots.   Walt Disney World also sells some fabulous Happy Birthday Mickey ear hats that can be customized with your daughters name,  they make a great keepsake and she can wear them again during future birthday celebrations.   Custom birthday cakes can also be ordered and delivered to Disney Dining locations.  Disney chefs can create amazing masterpieces utilizing your little girls favorite characters.  You can order a custom cake by calling (407) 827-2253, please order at least 48 hours in advance of your celebration.
