We are traveling to Disney World in June and had to purchase an adult dining plan for our 11 year old. I am working on my reservations and wondered if it was possible for him to order off the kids menu with the adult plan.

Hi Jana!  Congratulations on your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation!   I think the dining plan is a great way for families to save about 15% off the cost of meals while at the resort.    My family partakes in the Disney Dining  Plan on most trips we take.   Kids certainly have favorite meals, I know my children would eat mac 'n' cheese at every sitting if they could.   Do not fret, your son will be able to order items off the children's menu while on vacation.  It has been my experience that dining locations  will just make the portions larger to accommodate an adult appetite.  He will not go hungry, and remind him to save room for dessert. ( It is always included in a Disney Dining Plan meal.)

Jana, if you have any other questions before you depart on your fun-filled Disney adventure please let us know.    You are going to have a great time, and enjoy a Dole-Whip Float for me, they are my favorite use of a snack credit.

    Happy Disney Dining,

    ~Jen
