We will be traveling to Disney World in June and have the Deluxe Dinning Plan. I know that tip is not included in the dinning plan and I was wondering if we could charge the tip to our room or if it had to be paid at the time of the meal. Trying to Budget

Hi, Bonnie!  When you check in, you will be asked if you would like charging privileges on your Walt Disney World Key to the World Card (which can serve as your room key, your theme park passes, and your dining plan credits).  If you elect to have your card used for charging privileges, everything you purchase at Walt Disney World can be purchased using the card, and will be added to the hotel bill, eventually being charged to whatever credit card you have on file.

The gratuity at the restaurants works the same way as any other purchase.  You can give them your Key to the World card, and they will deduct your dining credits, and then you can put your gratuity on the card as well, to be charged back to your room.

It's a very convenient system, and helps limit the amount of cash you need to carry with you in the theme parks.  I like having just one bill at the end of the vacation - although my husband has needed smelling salts a time or two to recover from a surprise shopping spree!

    Have a wonderful vacation!
