Yo ho, yo ho, a planner's life for me! Welcome to planDisney, Karen. You caught me counting my doubloons, but I always have time to help a fellow guest! I see you're plotting a course to
Walt Disney World Resort in June, and you must be bringing some pirates-in-training with you. We have to teach them to plunder and pillage while they're young! Just keep them away from the rum for now. Let's see what fun activities we can find for your wee ones to do on your upcoming adventure.
I spoke to a parrot perched atop a Cast Member's shoulder, and he said that the cruises you mentioned are not available at this time. You can keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog in case an announcement is made about their return, but as of now, they won't be available for your summer trip. But avast, ye mateys! I have some other ideas for you.
I recently explored Adventureland at
Magic Kingdom Park, and if your little rascals don't mind being landlubbers, they will enjoy
A Pirate's Adventure: Treasures of the Seven Seas. This is a free scavenger hunt, and you can check in and get supplies at their headquarters located between Adventureland and Frontierland. Once your little pirates are checked in and have secured their treasure maps, you could let them do the hunt independently. They'll search for clues and find surprises along the way. I don't want to spoil it, but they might see some singing skulls lurking about.
If their hearts belong to the sea, you could book one of several
Specialty Cruises. Your group could have fun dressing with pirate touches as you enjoy desserts and fireworks from the water. The view from the boat is a real treasure trove!
Karen, I hope you don't have to walk the plank on your upcoming visit. I'm sure X will mark the spot for a magically good time. Please
stop by planDisney anytime for some high seas hijinx!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
