We are traveling to disney world in Feb. Staying in a 2 bedroom at GF, but we are 2 separate families, Do we have to purchase 2 different photo passes?

    Hello Samuel!

My family loves purchasing Memory Maker for our Walt Disney World Vacations. We often travel with my parents, friends and other extended family. The great thing about Memory Maker is that your entire group can be part of the fun!

Since you are all one travel party, you only need to purchase one Memory Maker. One person in the group will be the designated holder of the Memory Maker entitlement. This means that this person will be the only person who will be allowed to download the photos once you return home. However, once downloaded, the photos belong to you, and you can share the photos with the entire family by uploading to a photo share website, or putting them onto a USB flash drive.

Make sure that everyone in your travel party is linked together as Friends & Family in your My Disney Experience Accounts. Since you are all on the same resort reservation, this is probably already done. I think it is helpful to double check to make sure you have allowed photo sharing too. Under each person in your list, click Edit. On the following page, there should be a box that should be checked that allows photo sharing.

When you arrive at the Walt Disney World Resort, anyone in the group can add a photo to your account, simply by using their Magic Band! The person holding the entitlement does not have to be the one using their Magic Band. So if part of your group takes young astronauts on Space Mountain, while the other half of your group goes to meet the princesses, everyone can add their photos to the Memory Maker account!

Be sure to wear your best smiles, and say “Cheese!”
