Hi there! We're traveling to Disney this weekend for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. I've never seen the hotels fully decorated for Christmas. Is there a tour we can do? Thanks in advance!

    Hi Nathalie,

One of my favorite things about the holidays at the Walt Disney World Resort is that the hotels are just beautiful! Each one is decorated to compliment its theme. My favorite are Animal Kingdom, Wilderness Lodge and the Grand Floridian for the giant gingerbread house in the lobby. You can stand in it - okay not you - but the cast members do.

While I do not know of a tour, you are free to tour the resorts as most decorations are in the lobby. I like to eat meals in the resorts to get a break from the parks. Remember you can only park at a resort under limited circumstances if you are not staying there. Since you are going to the Magic Kingdom for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, I would take advantage of the monorail and see the Contemporary, the Polynesian Village Resort and the Grand Floridian.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
