We are traveling to Disney in October with 8 adults and 4 children 7 years of age and younger. I was wondering what resort would be best for us. We are not really looking to say at a delux resort but rather a value or moderate. Any suggestions?

    Hi Debra,

The only room configuration where all of you could stay in the same room would be a 2BR Villa at one of the Deluxe resorts. Since you're looking for moderate or value, you're going to have to split into several different rooms.

A nice choice for you might be value-level Art of Animation resort, which is opening this spring. The resort will obviously be totally fresh and up-to-date. Most of the rooms are family suites which include two rooms, two bathrooms and a small kitchenette. The family suites sleep up to six guests, so your party would need two of these.

At the moderate level, you could fit into two Fort Wilderness cabins. The cabins contain a full kitchen and plenty of outdoor space, but only one bathroom each.

For standard value or moderate accommodations, your group would need to split into three separate rooms. If you wanted to do that, my favorite choice is the Port Orleans French Quarter resort which is smaller and easier to get around than some of the others.

You should take some time playing around with different accommodation options on the WDW website to see what make the most cost-effective sense for you.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you need more help.
