We are traveling to Disney in May 2009 for our 1st time.and we've made reservations for Crystal Palace at 6:10 for dinner. What is your opinion on dinner there and is it worth the extra money spent? Our son is a complete Pooh & Tigger fanatic.

    Hi Stephanie!

One word about the Crystal Palace: Excellent! And, fun, and high energy and definitely worth it for our family!! Ok, so that's more than one word, but its really that much fun!

The Crystal Palace was the first Disney restaurant I ever brought my daughter to - so it holds a very special place in my heart! She was just 18 months and had a blast with all of the characters. Although, I do have to admit the large orange Tigger did give her a bit of a scare!

What is wonderful about the character meals is that you have one-on-one time with the characters in a much more relaxed atmosphere. You'll be able to enjoy your meal while the characters visit you. Rather than waiting in line, you'll be able to rest your feet after a long day and really enjoy the atmosphere. One character usually stays at the middle of the restaurant as well - for photo and autograph opportunities whenever you are ready. Be sure to have those cameras ready!

The food is quite good as well. There is a huge variety and a special kids buffet. You should have no trouble finding great food for every type of appetite!

I hope you have a great trip and enjoy the Crystal Palace. Be sure to give Eeyore a hug from me!
