hello! We are traveling to Disney in March and my son will be 12 months old. I'm trying to find the best hotel for us. I'm really looking for one that has a lot of amenities and a water play area for smaller children...any suggestions?!

    Hi Marcia,

Your trip will be here before you know it. What a lucky little pirate you have!

While all of the Walt Disney World Resorts have small children areas attached to their swimming areas, some are just better than others. However, be aware these are all outdoor and the water is heated to 82 degrees which may not be warm enough in March when temperatures can dip quite low.

As for resorts, you do not mention budget or where you are planning on spending your days touring. Two deluxe resorts come to mind right away-Yacht and Beach and Boardwalk because I love their water play area. Plus with access to the Boardwalk area and walking distance to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios, you save on being on a bus for most days with a stroller.

If you want to go to moderate, the Caribbean Beach resort has a gated play area for the little pirate which I think is great. However, this is a large resort which can take time to just travel within the resort before heading out to a park.

I hope these tips help you have a magical vacation!
