    We will be traveling on the Disney Magic in Oct. We have plans to do a few port adventures. Are there available beach areas and close shopping outside of the port adventures that you don't have to pay for. We dock at Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Costa Maya.

    Welcome to the Moms Panel, Damisi!
    Congratulations on your upcoming voyage onboard the magnificent Disney Magic!  Venturing ashore is the best way to experience the beauty and culture of the spectacular ports of call in the Western Caribbean!  I have been to all of these islands several times so I am happy to give you a heads up of what to expect.  Costa Maya does have shopping and dining very close to the pier. There are not any safe beaches close by, but there is a pool in the middle of the shopping and dining area that is free to use.  In Grand Cayman, the ship does not dock at the pier so you will tender over to the island.  There is shopping and dining around the area where you are dropped off, but no beaches are nearby.  In Cozumel, there is also shopping and dining within walking distance of the pier, but to get to any beaches you will need to book a Port Adventure or use a taxi or van service located at the pier.  If you do decide to go out on your own, make sure to leave plenty of time to return to the ship!  A Disney Cruise Line Port Adventure is always your safest bet since you will have no worries about missing all aboard!
