Hi Natalie, welcome to planDisney. My littlest is your namesake, and on our recent Walt Disney World trip, she made great use of our buggy! Ours is bulkier than yours, and I was feeling very envious of YoYo users who didn't have to check their buggy at the gate - I still recommend bringing a carrier, just in case, as it was a long walk from our arrival gate to the baggage claim.
On to Walt Disney World, the
requirement is that the buggy is no bigger than 79 cm in width and 132 cm in length - the YoYo will be fine. Please know that sometimes Cast Members can move buggies to make the Parking area clearer for all Guests. When this first happened, I was worried we'd lost ours forever, but take a quick look around, and you'll spot your treasured chariot.
My favourite Disney transportation is
Disney Skyliner and the
Monorail - as generally, you won't have to fold the buggy and take out your little pal. For me, the faff is removing everything underneath the buggy before folding it. We seem to accumulate stuff at Disney and shove it in there like it's Mary Poppin's bag!
The
Baby Care Centers in each Park are a little calm oasis amongst the Disney crowds. If you, or your baby, need some time out, I highly recommend heading to these. They have multiple changing stations with lots of space.
A couple of other things I encountered travelling from the U.K. - the available baby snacks and nappies are a little different, so if you would like to keep consistency, I recommend bringing enough supplies from home. (I like to fill that empty suitcase on the way home with all the aforementioned stuff we bought!) On the accessible rides, I found a baby sling super helpful for the queue and, on occasion, for the ride itself. We also found taking a break each afternoon from the Parks helpful for us all - be that back at our Disney Resort hotel or dining at a table service restaurant.
I'm sure your little one will be mesmerised by the magical sights and sounds of Walt Disney World. If you're ready to get back into the thrill of things,
Rider Switch means that no one has to miss out. Please take all the pictures and soak in the memories; I can not tell you how much my kiddos grow and change with each trip. Enjoy making all those magical memories together, Natalie. Please let me know if you need anything else, Louise.
