Hi Chelsea! I’m so excited that you’re going to have a little Mouseketeer visiting the Walt Disney World Resort! Your vacation is just days away!
The Walt Disney World Resort does require that Guests wear
appropriate attire during their visits. This does include wearing shoes. Having said that, I’m sure I’ve seen Donald, Daisy, Chip, and Dale all wandering around the parks with no footwear at all! In addition to those characters, I am quite sure a six-month-old will most likely be an exception to the footwear rule as well. If baby boy is going to be in a stroller or being held, then I am sure his little “paws” are going to be just fine without footwear! If you believe there is any chance that the little guy might be taking some very advanced practice steps throughout the Disney Parks then perhaps throw in a pair of cozy shoes! Otherwise, let him show off his tootsies.
Chelsea, taking a little one into the Disney Parks is quite an adventure! To make things a little easier on parents there are
baby care centers in all four of the Disney Parks! These locations offer a great opportunity to get off your feet for a few minutes or to relax in air conditioning. Parents and little ones can also take care of some of their other comfort needs at the baby care centers.
Have an amazing vacation! Be sure to come back to planDisney with any other questions!
Happy Planning!
