Hi! I am traveling to Disney in February for the first time with my family (I have 2 toddlers). Can you please give me recommendations of places to get snacks that are covered in my Disney meal plan in Walt Disney (esp fantasyland) and animal kingdom?

Welcome Back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Nicole!

You are combining my two favorite things at Disney - food, and kiddos! I love that Walt Disney World offers fantastic food options for the adults while simultaneously satisfying the littles’ palates!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom is our family’s favorite park to eat at! There are so many options, from snacks to table service, everyone is happy! One of our favorite snack stops is Terra Treats, on Discovery Island. Their snack-sized chicken wings along with the hummus with vegetables create the perfect kid-sized meal. Another good stop is Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafes. My four-year-old twin boys down their egg rolls and we all adore the chicken-fried rice. Bonus - the rice comes in an Instagram-worthy takeout container!

At Magic Kingdom Park there are also plenty of toddler-approved food options! The “manliest of manly places,” Gaston’s Tavern serves up lots of great snacks. Apple slices with caramel sauce, warm cinnamon rolls, and my kids’ favorite Mini Babybel Snack Cheese are all on the menu. For you momma, I highly recommend the Ham and Brie Sandwich. No visit to Fantasyland is complete for us without a stop at the Food Cart right outside of the entrance to Storybook Circus. There we satisfy both salty and sweet - a large popcorn to share and churros all around - YUM!

Nicole, you can view the menus of each dining location online before your arrival. That way you can scout out all the yummiest snacks for your little muffins. Look out for the purple Dining Plan Snack Logo on the menus. This will identify the tasty bites that qualify as snack credits.

    chEARs to a delish vacation!
