We are traveling to Disney Feb 25-Mar 5, 2011. It will be our families first Disney trip. Could you give me some character dining options that would be good for my 5 boys (age 9,7,5,4 2)? Thanks!

Hi Julie! How exciting to be taking your boys to Walt Disney World for the first time! I love character meals -- it's so much more relaxing to let the characters come visit me rather than waiting in line to see them.

Chef Mickey's is one of the most popular character meals at Walt Disney World, and it would be a great choice for your first visit! This huge buffet is open for breakfast and dinner, and your boys will meet Mickey, Minnie, and friends. My kids love that Chef Mickey's serves Rice Krispie treats at breakfast and has a sundae bar at dinner!

If Chef Mickey's is booked for breakfast, consider the Cape May Cafe as an alternative. Goofy and friends appear at this breakfast buffet that's often less crowded than other buffets, resulting in lots of character interaction.

If your boys enjoy Stitch's antics, consider breakfast at 'Ohana in the Polynesian Resort, which hosts a Best Friends Breakfast with Lilo and Stitch. The American breakfast is served family-style at your table, and with five boys, you might enjoy not having to run back and forth from your table to a buffet.

Finally, Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House in the Animal Kingdom is a character meal that's popular with the boys. This buffet would be a convenient choice on the day you plan to visit Animal Kingdom.

To reserve a table at any of these character meals, call 407-WDW-DINE or book online by clicking here.

Hope your first family vacation at Disney is magical! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We're happy to help!
