    We are traveling to Disney at the end of July and are coming upon our 90 day mark to book our dining reservations. I saw somewhere that guests staying on a Disney property can book 90 plus 10 days out (100 days) from the start of the trip. Is this true?

    Yes. You heard right.

    Guests who are staying off-site (at a non-Disney hotel) can make dining reservations up to 90 days in advance, and only up to 90 days in advance. For example, today (April 15) was the 90-day call window for reservations on July 14. If I'm staying off-site, I can call to reserve a meal on that date. If I want to make reservation for a meal on July 15, I have to call back again tomorrow. If I want to make a reservation for a meal on July 16, I have to call back the day after that, and so on.

    However, guests staying at Disney-owned resorts can make the meal reservations for their entire trip (up to 10 days) on the first day of their 90 day window. So instead of having to call back multiple times, a Disney resort guest could call today to make reservations for not only meals on July 14, but also for meals on July 15, 16 and so on. In reality this means that Disney guests who are staying for 10 days can make the reservations for the last day of their trip 100 days in advance, rather than just 90. This gives them a big advantage in their ability to get reservations for hard to come by meals.

    The 90 + 10 rule is just another of the reasons that my family always stays at the Disney resorts rather than off site.
