We will be traveling on the Disney Dream. We have never traveled with passports before, and are getting them just to be on the "safe side". Are they something people usually carry around on the trip and take on/off the boat with them? or leave in

    Hi Jessica, and welcome aboard!

Congratulations on booking your cruise on the Disney Dream. I'm sure you're really looking forward to setting foot on that amazing ship!

I think it's a good idea to be on the safe side with passports as well, as you never know what unexpected events could occur. We usually just lock our passports in our stateroom safe while we're onboard. You will not need to carry them around the ship with you.

However, if you disembark the ship in any non-US port of call, I highly recommend bringing your passports along with you. In the unlikely even you had a medical emergency off the ship and didn't make it back to the ship in time, you'd need that passport.

Have fun with the rest of your planning, Jessica. There is so much to explore and experience on the Disney Dream! Let me know if I can help you with any other questions before you set sail!
