    We will be traveling on the Disney Dream August 2016. We have reserved a concierge suite. How does tipping work at Castaway Cay? We plan on reserving a cabana. I have found links for tipping on the ship but no info for Casaway Cay. Thanks.

    Thank you for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  We love to help guests with their vacation plans and we appreciate your question. Your pirate crew will enjoy the Dream, especially the luxurious and upscale lodgings available to Concierge guests. Get ready to have your every desire cared for while your pirate crew experiences the vacation of a lifetime! A cabana reservation is a lovely way to extend the service while you are relaxing at Castaway Cay. In addition to a spacious and well-furnished cabana, guests have access to an attendant who will bring beverages from the bar, restock the cabana with sun lotion and fruit snacks, and attend to guest needs.

    When I reached out to my friends at Disney Cruise Line I found out that the Cabana Attendant is not a “tipped position” and there are no guidelines for tipping these wonderful cast members. I suggest that you tip the attendant based on how much you have asked them to do and how useful you found their service to you. As a guideline, the tips for drinks are about 15%, and if you desire to tip, that is a good amount to consider. You are not able to leave tips for the Cabana Attendant on your Key to the World card so if you desire to leave a tip, you should bring some cash.
