Kandi,
I too am excited for the return of the
Disney Minnie Van Service Connected by Lyft! The vans are more than just a method of transportation, but a ride with style! Also, for friends with kids still young enough to need a booster, they are a great convenience since they come ready with 2 car seats.
At this time, they have only announced a return to the service within the Disney property. They are not yet projecting when they will be restarting the service between Walt Disney World and the Orlando International Airport. The good news is that their website teases a return, stating that details are coming soon!
So how do you find out if the service will be back on the airport route by the time you visit in August? I would check the
Disney Parks Blog regularly, as that is where you will hear the breaking news.
BONUS TIPIn the meantime in case the Minnie Van service is not yet working the airport route, you can consider some alternatives. There are several shuttle companies, like Mears Connect, that can get you to your Disney resort hotel in a more economical fashion. If you want to plus up the experience, much like the Minnie Vans would, you could reserve a car service. A few, like Quicksilver, can equip their rides with child car seats, and offer a grocery store stop on your arrival leg at no charge.
Write me back if you have any follow-up questions.
Have a Magical Vacation!
