I will be traveling with children under the age of 10. On the reservation line it asks for Identification. Will a birth certificate be all I need to bring or is a Government ID card needed (I do not have one for my children)

    Ahoy, Tony!

While a passport is not required for many Disney Cruise Line vacations, our family travels with them, it just makes me feel better. My children have had passports since they were 4 & 7. Some of the benefits of traveling with a passport are listed here.

Since it seems you wouldn't have the time to acquire passports for your children, and you are sailing to and from a US port, you will be able to travel with official birth certificates for your children. You will want to have copies with the raised seal on them. Once you board, you can lock these in your stateroom safe. Since they are minors, they will not need any form of Government issued identification. Be sure that all adults traveling have either passports or Government-issued photo identification AND an official copy of their birth certificate.

I hope you have a wonderful Disney Cruise Line vacation! Please visit us here again at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with more questions about your upcoming cruise.

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.

GAWRSH! Hiya pals! I am a Goofy-loving mom of 2, who is married to my real-life Prince Charming. My family supports my passion for all things Disney. Walt Disney World was my very first vacation, when I was just 3 months old, and I recently completed my 73rd trip to a Disney location! I have been fortune enough to parasail high above the Disney Fantasy, attend opening day of Batuu, snorkel in the lagoon at Disney's Aulani, and SO MUCH MORE! I can't wait to help you plan your Disney vacation!
