I am traveling with breastmilk and the room says it only has a beverage cooler, which does not get cold enough to safely store. What is the best way to navigate this?

Hey there, Lori! I'm so happy to welcome you back to planDisney! How exciting that you'll be kicking off the New Year at the Most Magical Place on Earth! I can't think of a better way to start the year off than being surrounded by all the pixie dust, laughter, and those special little moments that only Disney can bring. What an amazing way to set the tone for the year ahead!

Earlier this year, I visited Disney World with my sister-in-law, who was breastfeeding at the time, so I completely understand the importance of having reliable storage for breastmilk during your stay. Most Disney Resort rooms are equipped with a beverage cooler, while Deluxe Villas feature an in-room refrigerator.

If you'll need additional storage, Disney offers a couple of helpful options. When you arrive at your resort, simply stop by the Bell Services Desk and let the Cast Members know you'd like to store your breastmilk in a freezer or refrigerator. Just be sure your milk is kept in proper storage containers, clearly labeled, and sealed inside a waterproof bag. I also suggest packing a few extra ziplock bags from home to make transporting your milk to Bell Services each day quick and easy.

Another great option is to bring along a personal cooler. You can keep it in your room for convenient access and refill it with ice from the resort's ice machines, which are usually located near the elevators on each floor. This way, you'll always have milk close by without needing to make extra trips.

One more helpful trip I'd love to share with you is to make use of the Baby Care Centers while you're out enjoying the parks. These family-friendly spaces are a lifesaver for parents! Each center offers private nursing rooms where you can comfortably feed your little one, spacious changing tables, and quiet areas designed for feeding or just taking a short break from the excitement of the parks. You'll find a Baby Care Center in every theme park. The easiest way to locate them is by pulling up the park map on your My Disney Experience app.

Lori, I hope this information helps as you continue to plan your trip. Feel free to visit us again if any additional questions pop up!
