Hello, We will be traveling back 1/1-1/5. We have never been there on a holiday. I am a little nervous about my plans for the week that I haven't made any plans for the 1st with the crowds not sure which park to go to my kids 15 & 21. Thank you

    Hi, Kathleen!
I'm thrilled you get to start the new year at Walt Disney World Resort. The parks still have the glow from the holidays but you will not see as intense a crowd as the parks see the week between Christmas and New Years Eve.

Often, over the holidays, Magic Kingdom Park tends to have the biggest crowds. If you are trying to find an alternate park, I'd recommend taking your kids to Disney's Hollywood Studios. The combination of Star Wars attractions, thrilling rides and my favorite, Toy Story Mania!, makes the park one of my family's favorites. My teenager says he could spend the whole day bouncing between Star Tours, the Tower of Terror and the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith.

Don't worry. After January 1st, many families need to return home for school and work. I think you may be surprised to find the crowds smaller than you think!

Have a magical visit and Happy New Year!
