Welcome aboard, Angela! Oh, wow! Two back to back sailings with Disney Cruise Line will be such wonderful opportunities for you and your son to enjoy all the magic that Disney has to offer at sea! And boy will you be happy to know that on the last morning of your first cruise, as all of the other guests are waving goodbye, you're still going to be onboard to enjoy another sailing! How wonderful!
While
Disney Cruise Line does not have an official site to allow guests to meet before the sailings, there are some unofficial online sites where Disney fans and guests tend to chat online before setting sail together. One of these is the Disboards site where Disney Cruise Line fans can check their exact sail dates to join chat forums with other guests on the same sailing. You may look into that to get to know some other Disney fans on the site that are planning to be on your same sailings.
Onboard the ship, however, Disney offers so many fun activities and events, not just for the kids, or full families, but for adults, including those traveling alone. Be sure to check your Personal Navigator once onboard, or the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App, and look for the
Cruisin' Solo events. The first night, there is usually a gathering as a get-to-know-you. I usually see listed at least one
Cruisin' Solo event each day, but I hear that once guests meet at those, they tend to set up additional unlisted get togethers throughout the rest of the cruise as well, so you may want to go that first night and meet some new friends while your son is enjoying his time and meeting his own new friends in the
Oceaneer Club.
I hope those details help as you get ready to set sail, Angela!
