Hi, Karina!
Thank you for stopping by planDisney. Traveling with little ones requires pre-planning and long
packing lists, but it is worth it in the end when you see your baby experience the magic of a Disney Cruise!
Pre-packaged, unopened formula can be brought aboard your Disney Cruise. I recommend packing the formula in your carry-on bags because you might not have access to your checked luggage for a few hours after boarding the ship. Also, keep in mind that all items must either be consumed before returning to your home port or remain unopened.
My friend Shannon provided
helpful information about bringing water onboard the ship. She describes a few options, such as bringing all the water! There are no limitations on the amount of water you can carry on the ship (it does need to be carried on with you). I suggest using a small rolling bag that is no more than 22 inches high, 14 inches wide, and 9 inches deep to transport the water, since you may not be able to enter your stateroom for a few hours after boarding. Carrying a baby and water would be challenging, even for a superhero parent like you!
Water can also be pre-purchased from Onboard Gifts under "My Reservations" on the Disney Cruise Line website up to 3 days before your sail date. Make sure to bring enough water to last the day if you decide to pre-purchase water from Disney Cruise Line. Other options include ordering water from
Room Service (I always bring cash to tip the Room Service Crew Members), asking your server for filtered tap water at your
rotational dining restaurant, and using the water found in the complimentary Beverage Stations found on the pool deck or in the buffet-service restaurants.
A limited number of
approved bottle warmers and bottle sterilizers are also available upon request through Guest Services on board your ship. Moreover, you can ask for hot water to be delivered to your stateroom at any time from room service.
Did you know that
"it's a small world" nursery! is a youth club designed just for Disney Cruise Line's youngest (and most adorable) Guests? Little ones between 6 months to 3 years old (or from 1 to 3 years old on Transatlantic, Hawaii, and Panama Canal itineraries) can play games, watch movies, or nap in the enchanting nursery for an additional fee (subject to availability). I recommend stopping by the nursery during the Open House on Embarkation Day to explore this cute youth club and get any questions answered by the youth counselors.
Karina, thank you again for contacting planDisney. I hope your Disney Cruise is filled with laughter and joy!
Happy sailing!
Jen
