Hi Stacy!
Every time of year at the
Walt Disney World Resort is magical, but some months are definitely warmer than others! To beat the heat, I always take a cold water bottle with me to the parks! It is so nice to have a cool refreshing drink, especially later in the afternoon!
Unfortunately, the mini-refrigerators in the rooms at
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter do not have a freezer compartment. That being said, I always put my water bottles in the mini-refrigerator the night before, then grab one right before I leave for the parks in the morning. They usually stay cool for a while!
You can also invest in an insulated sleeve for your water bottle to keep it cooler for longer! I actually purchased one of these at
Disney's Animal Kingdom as I was leaving
Kilimanjaro Safaris. It has a cross-body strap and an absolutely adorable leopard-print Mickey Mouse on it!
Also remember that you can get refreshing ice water throughout the parks whenever you need it! If you decide you want a cooling sweet treat, make sure you check out two of my favorites--LeFou's Brew from
Gaston's Tavern in
Magic Kingdom Park and the Night Blossom from
Pongu Pongu in Disney's Animal Kingdom!
Have a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow!
