Ahoy, Christy!
With just a few days to go, I know you are so ready to get your
Alaskan adventure underway. Are you packed yet? It can be a bit overwhelming with the unpredictable temperatures, so I highly suggest keeping in an eye on the weather forecast for the ports you'll be visiting in the coming days. I'm sure you've heard it before, but the key to being comfortable is layering with the outer layer being waterproof. When we cruised this itinerary a couple of years ago, we experienced every type of weather-cool and rainy, cloudy and cold and warm and sunny! Our final sea day felt more like Caribbean cruise weather! The pool deck was hopping so I was glad we had bathing suits and short sleeves to enjoy it.
Christy, most of the transportation used for port adventures do not support car seats so you will need to store them in your stateroom. You may want to stop by the
Port Adventure Desk once aboard to ask the team about your specific excursions. When you arrive at the port, you can check them with the porters, and they will be delivered to your stateroom later on in the afternoon. The storage under the bed is quite spacious, so I'm hoping they will fit under there. If there is any problem finding room, just ask your stateroom host or hostess for help.
Best wishes for an amazing journey to the Last Frontier next week! You will be blown away by the picturesque scenery from the time you cast off from Vancouver! Be camera ready at all times because you never know what you might see!
Have a "WONDER"ful vacation!
Nancy
