Hello Sharlene!
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am super impressed with you bringing your son to Walt Disney World for
mommy and me time. I know this trip will create a lifetime of magical memories for the two of you!
Even though our almost five-year-old twin boys and our six-year-old daughter are out of “babydom," I still bring a haul with me, and I haven’t given up their stroller just yet. We leave
the stroller in the designated stroller parking next to our attraction and head on in! Once done, the stroller is in the same designated area (though it may move a spot or two thanks to ever watchful Cast Members). We tend to leave bigger items (souvenir popcorn buckets, anyone??) in the stroller and carry our money, ID, etc.
Once we gave up the massive diaper bag, my husband and I turned to cross-body bags to store all the “pertinents.” We usually carry cold water, ponchos, and ID, and my husband's bag easily fits on his lap or in designated pockets on attractions. Now that he’s the new “sherpa” of the family (a title I was happy to give up!), I wear a small pouch that carries all the essentials. The great thing is that we rarely bring cash or credit into the Parks as our
MagicBands have effectively become our “key to the world.”
As a Walt Disney World Resort Guest, you can use your MagicBand as a paperless ticket, and as a way to charge for purchases.
Sharlene, I wish you much Pixie Dust on your upcoming trip! If you have any additional questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
